Identify various home décor fabrics and understand the use of texture and color in the design. Students will combine this knowledge to create a fabric color board.

• Apply sewing techniques appropriate for home decor projects that will be assembled into a portfolio.

• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for and using a sewing machine in the construction of table linens, pillows, bedcoverings, and window treatments.

• Demonstrate the ability to read and use a measuring device to draw up patterns that will be used to construct linens, pillows, bedcoverings, and window treatments.
