(job study) creative director at anthropology
Let’s shoot for my “Beyonce Level” dream shall we? I am obsessed with Anthropologie.
Walking into their store and being warmly welcomed by their sweet candles, earthy hues, incredibly textured and detailed pieces brings me so much inner joy that comes out in a squeak when the greeter says hello.
I would walk around an Anthropologie store for hours, I have walked around multiple Anthro stores for hours. Anthropologies current creative director is Carolyn Keer, who is defined as knowing the DNA of Anthropologie and completely emanating the brand. She focuses on encouraging a “hand-made” prospect to all of the clothing. Anthropologies' way to build their aesthetic is as they say “easy” as they simply hire a bunch of artists. This includes woodworkers, painters, fiber artists, and graphic designers. The office is defined as the headquarters workshop, and if that doesn’t define why this job is a literal dream I don’t know what would.
The brand takes the time to include environmental awareness and stewardship, which is incredibly important and something I am individually strongly passionate about.
